At 274cm, or a full nine feet, the Thornwood garland runs the length of a mantelpiece or winds the whole way down a bannister in one piece. Most garlands sold in the UK stop around 175cm, which means joining two together and hiding the seam. This one does not need joining.
The foliage is a real touch finish on a wired, bendable stem. The wire is what lets you shape it around a newel post, press it flat along a shelf edge or fan the sprigs outward so it reads full from every angle rather than lying flat against the wall. It holds whatever shape you set.
Nothing drops. A real cedar or pine garland is shedding on the carpet within a fortnight and in the bin by January. This one goes back in its box at the end of the season and comes out the same the following year, which is what makes a faux garland worth buying properly once instead of cheaply every December.
