The Cascata is a metre long bar of genuine alabaster suspended on burnished brass. Alabaster is translucent, so the light does not sit behind a shade, it passes through the stone and picks out the veining. No two pieces look the same, because no two blocks of stone are.
Mains compatibility: this item is built for a 220 to 240 V mains supply, as used in the UK, Europe and Australia. It is not suitable for a 110 to 120 V supply without a suitable step up transformer.
At 1650 lumens and 3000K it is bright enough to light a dining table properly and warm enough not to read as a kitchen strip light. The drop adjusts between 65 cm and 135 cm, which covers most ceiling heights. The LED is integrated and rated for 40,000 hours, so there is nothing to replace. At 6.7 kg it needs a ceiling fixing that can take the weight.
