The Lumera is a 40 cm fluted column of Spanish alabaster. The flutes break the light into vertical bands as it passes through the stone, which is what stops a lit sconce reading as a flat glowing panel. Every piece carries its own veining.
Mains compatibility: this item is built for a 220 to 240 V mains supply, as used in the UK, Europe and Australia. It is not suitable for a 110 to 120 V supply without a suitable step up transformer.
It is IP44 rated and approved for zone 2 of a bathroom, which most decorative sconces are not, so it works either side of a mirror as well as in a hallway or beside a bed. At 1300 lumens it is the brightest of our alabaster wall lights, and it dims through a TRIAC switch. It projects 5 cm from the wall and weighs 2.25 kg.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use this in a bathroom?
Yes. The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom use in the appropriate zone. Your electrician will confirm placement relative to the bath or shower.
What does the fluting do to the light?
The ribbed surface catches light across its ridges, so the piece has depth and texture even when switched off, and a gentle striped glow when lit.
Does it work outside a bathroom?
Very much so. Customers use it in hallways, beside beds and flanking fireplaces. The IP44 rating simply means it is also rated for damp rooms.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We ship free on every order to the UK, the United States and Australia, with no minimum spend. Full details are in our Shipping Policy.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and transit is 3–5 business days after dispatch, giving 4–7 business days in total.
Will I be able to track my order?
Yes. Tracking details are emailed as soon as your order ships, and you can follow delivery at any time on our Order Tracking page.
How long do I have to return something?
30 days from the day your order arrives. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. See our Refund Policy.
Do I pay a restocking fee?
No. There are no restocking fees, as long as the item is unused and returned in its original packaging.
What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?
Damaged, defective or incorrect items are free to return and we cover the return shipping. Refunds are processed within 7 business days after inspection.
