Atelierée Tivoli Travertine Effect Peel and Stick Wall Tiles | Self Adhesive PVC Panels for Kitchen Splashbacks and Feature Walls

The Tivoli is a self adhesive wall tile printed and embossed with a travertine effect. To be clear about what it is: the tile is PVC, not stone. The face carries the warm cream and sand banding of Roman travertine with a lightly textured surface so it catches light the way the real material does, and it weighs a fraction of what stone does, which is exactly why it can hang on a plasterboard wall with nothing but its own adhesive.

Each tile is 30cm square with a peel off backing sheet. There is no adhesive to mix, no grout, no tools beyond a craft knife or a pair of scissors for cutting around a socket or a window reveal. Tiles butt edge to edge in a grid, so a run goes up in an afternoon and can be taken down again later, which is the whole argument for using them in a rented flat or on a wall you are not ready to commit to.

Work out your coverage before ordering rather than after. A 12 tile pack covers 1.08 square metres, which is about right for a short splashback run behind a sink. A 24 tile pack covers 2.16 square metres, enough for a standard kitchen splashback across a worktop or a decent panel behind a console. For a full feature wall, measure the area and add roughly ten percent for cuts and offcuts.
