The Sorrel is a flat mattress filled with shredded sponge rather than a single foam slab. The fill moves and redistributes as a dog shifts position through the night, so the mattress adapts to the sleeping shape instead of holding one compressed hollow.
A waterproof lining sits between the fill and the outer cover, so spills and accidents stop at the liner rather than soaking into the mattress itself. The outer cover unzips for washing, which keeps the bed usable long after a sealed bed would have to be thrown out.
The linen outer is woven in a flat beige that works in a crate, a car boot or a corner of a room without drawing attention. At 10cm deep the mattress slides under furniture and into crates without wedging at the edges.
