The Halston is built on a sponge foam base that spreads a dog's weight across the whole surface instead of letting hips and elbows press through to the floor. At 25cm tall the bed keeps its loft under a dog of up to 40kg rather than compressing flat within weeks.
Raised bolster walls run around three sides at 8cm deep, giving a dog a headrest and the enclosed feeling that settles anxious sleepers. The front is left open, so dogs that prefer to stretch out over the edge are not forced to curl up.
The fleece cover unzips and goes into the machine, and a waterproof layer sits underneath it to stop accidents and spills reaching the foam. The 68 x 41cm inner sleeping area is sized for breeds in the 25 to 40kg range, which covers Border Collies, Spaniels and Australian Shepherds.
