The Filo is a single slim black bar of light crossing a small square wall mount. There is no shade, no diffuser housing and no visible hardware beyond the mount itself, which is the whole idea: switched off it reads as a drawn line on the wall, and switched on it becomes a soft band of warm light with a wash spilling onto the plaster either side of it.
The bar rotates through 330 degrees within its mount. That is the feature that makes one fixture work in several places. Set vertically it runs alongside a bed or up a stairwell and throws light up and down the wall. Turned horizontal it sits above a console or a run of shelving and lights the surface below. Angled, it becomes a diagonal that reads as a graphic mark rather than a lamp. You decide after it is on the wall, not before.
The body is aluminium rather than plastic, so the bar stays straight over a long run and the finish is a flat matte black that does not pick up fingerprints the way a gloss finish does. The LED runs at 2700 to 3500K, which is the warm end of white, chosen so it sits comfortably in a bedroom at night rather than reading cold and blue.

Does it plug in, or does it need wiring?
It is hardwired. There is no plug and no trailing cable, which is why it looks clean on the wall, but it does mean you need an existing wall point or an electrician to fit it. If you want something that plugs straight into a socket, this is not the right fixture and we would rather you knew now.
Which length should I pick?
Measure the clear wall you have. The 30cm suits a tight gap beside a narrow bedside shelf or a small cloakroom. The 40cm is the usual choice for a pair either side of a double bed. The 50cm wants a bigger stretch of empty wall, a stairwell or a hallway, where it has room to read as a full line.
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No. The LED is integrated into the bar rather than being a swappable bulb, which is what allows the fixture to be this slim. That is the trade for the look, and it is true of most integrated LED fixtures at this profile, so it is worth knowing before you choose.
