They are double thickness stretch knit, so they hold by tension rather than by any adhesive. On a very smooth or tapered leg it is worth checking them now and then.
What size legs do they fit?
They are 3.5 cm across and 7 cm tall in a stretch knit, so they take a range either side of that. Measure a leg if yours are chunky.
Will they quieten a scraping chair?
Yes, that is half the reason to fit them. Double thickness knit between the leg and the floor takes the scrape out of pulling a chair back.
