The Belvedere is a full length arched mirror on a slim black aluminium alloy frame. At 162cm tall it reflects a standing adult head to foot, which is the point of a full length mirror and the thing most so called full length mirrors get wrong by stopping short. The arch is a soft continuous curve rather than a squared top, so it reads as an architectural opening in the wall rather than a piece of hardware.
The glass is tempered. That matters on an item this size: tempered glass is heat treated so it resists knocks that would chip ordinary mirror glass, and if it does ever fail it breaks into blunt granules instead of long shards. The aluminium frame is light for its dimensions, which is what makes a mirror of this height practical to move between rooms without two people and a plan.
It free stands on a hinged rear support, so it leans at a fixed angle against the wall with no fixings, no drilling and no wall anchors. That suits rented homes and solid walls equally, and it means the mirror can be repositioned to catch a window. Used that way an arched floor mirror does real work in a small room: placed opposite or beside a window it pushes daylight back into the space and reads as a second opening.

Can it be hung on the wall instead of leaned?
It is designed and supplied as a free standing mirror on a hinged rear support, and that is how we would use it. It does not come with wall fixings or a hanging system, so treat it as a leaning mirror rather than a wall mounted one.
Will a 162cm mirror actually show all of me?
Because it leans back slightly rather than sitting flat, the reflection reaches further than the glass height suggests. Standing a normal distance back, most adults see head to foot. If you want to be certain, stand 1.5 metres from a wall and have someone mark 162cm up from the skirting.
Is it safe with children or pets in the house?
The glass is tempered, which breaks into blunt granules rather than long shards. That said, any leaning mirror of this height can be pulled over. If there are small children or a large dog in the house, secure it to the wall with a furniture strap, the same as you would a tall bookcase.
